StatSheet's NEC Player of the Week for December 17th goes to St. Francis (NY)'s Jalen Cannon. Stephan Hawkins from Robert Morris has won StatSheet's NEC Freshman of the Week. Also, Mario Moody from Wagner is StatSheet's NEC 6th Man of the Week. Cannon put up great stats in shooting (60%), scoring (14 pts per game), and rebounding (10 per game). The St. Francis (NY) sophomore put these numbers up in losses to Stony Brook and St. John's.

Cannon led the Terriers in scoring and rebounding with 14 points and 8 rebounds in a 77-61 loss to Stony Brook. That was followed by a team-leading 14 point and 12 rebound performance in a 77-60 loss to St. John's.

This is the first time this season that Jalen Cannon has been named StatSheet NEC Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is Jonathon Williams, a senior from Wagner. Honorable mention goes to Robert Morris senior Velton Jones. Jamal Olasewere, who finished fifth, was the highest ranking player from Long Island.

StatSheet NEC Freshman of the Week: Robert Morris's Stephan Hawkins

Stephan Hawkins put in 13 minutes starting the only game for Robert Morris. In a 91-69 waxing of Duquesne, Hawkins tallied 6 points and 4 rebounds.

This is a first for Stephan Hawkins, who has never won the StatSheet NEC Freshman of the Week. Dwaun Anderson from Wagner grabs runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Taylor Danaher from Mount St. Mary's.

StatSheet NEC 6th Man of the Week: Wagner's Mario Moody

Mario Moody, a sophomore and a 6-7 forward, played 22 minutes during a single game for the Seahawks. In a close 77-65 win against Coppin State, Moody added 9 points and 3 steals.

This is the first time this season that Mario Moody has won the StatSheet NEC 6th Man of the Week. Russell Johnson, a senior forward from Robert Morris, is the runner up. Joe O`Shea, a sophomore guard from Bryant, receives honorable mention. The highest ranking 6th man from Long Island was Booker Hucks who finished 5th. Long Island has yet to win StatSheet NEC Player of the Week.
